Privacy policy
How Jersey Futbol Club collects, uses and protects personal information, including information about children.
Who we are
Jersey Futbol Club is a youth soccer club based at 35 Walnut Ave, Suite #218, Clark, NJ 07066. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only, and not to any third-party site we link to.
Questions about this policy, or any request described in it, can be sent to JFCsoccerusa@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When a parent or legal guardian submits a tryout, program, 360 clinic or general inquiry form, we collect the player's first and last name, the player's date of birth, the parent or guardian's name, email address and phone number, and anything written in the message field.
The date of birth is collected for one reason: youth soccer is organized into age groups, and the club cannot place a player without it.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you browse, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view and the site that referred you. Where this is collected by analytics cookies, it happens only after you consent.
Children's privacy
This is a youth club, and our forms are about children. We ask that only a parent or legal guardian complete them, and every form requires that person to confirm they are the parent or guardian before it can be submitted. We do not knowingly allow a child under 13 to submit their own information.
We collect the minimum needed to evaluate and place a player: name, date of birth, and a parent's contact details. We do not use a child's information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone outside the club except the service providers described below.
A parent or guardian may at any time ask to review the information we hold about their child, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or refuse to allow us to collect anything further. Write to us at the address above and we will act on the request. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer place the player in a program.
If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13 without a parent or guardian's involvement, we delete it.
How we use information
We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, to evaluate and register a player, to organize tryouts, training and programs, to contact you about the program you asked about, and to keep the records a club needs to operate.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the club and this website, and only so they can perform that work for us. These currently include our website host, our database and form-storage provider, and our email provider.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights or safety of a player, our members or the public.
Cookies and analytics
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. We use two kinds.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working: they remember your cookie choice and keep forms secure. These cannot be switched off, and the site will not function properly without them.
Analytics cookies tell us how many people visit, which pages they read and which site sent them, so the club can see whether the website is doing its job. These run only if you accept them, and no analytics or advertising cookie is set before you do. You can change your choice at any time using the button at the end of this policy.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their own settings. Some browsers send a Global Privacy Control signal, and we treat that signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry and registration records for as long as the player is involved with the club, and afterwards only as long as we need them for the club's records or the law requires. When a parent or guardian asks us to delete a child's information, we delete it other than anything we are legally required to retain.
How we protect it
Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with access limited to the club staff who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information you give us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you or your child, to receive a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information.
Residents of some states, including New Jersey and California, have these rights by statute. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. To make a request, write to us at the address above. We may need to confirm your identity, and that you are the parent or guardian of the child concerned, before we act.
Photographs and video
The club photographs and films training, matches and events, and may publish those images on this website and on club social media. If you do not want your child to appear, tell us in writing and we will not knowingly publish an image of them, and will remove one already published on request.
Verifying a parent's consent
Because our forms concern children, we take a further step before acting on one. Where we cannot reasonably tell that the person submitting is the parent or guardian, we confirm it by replying to the email address or calling the phone number given before the player's information is used for anything beyond that confirmation. A parent may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, and we will delete the child's record.
If something goes wrong
If we discover a breach affecting personal information, we will investigate it, act to contain it, and notify affected parents and any regulator the law requires us to notify, without undue delay.
Where information is held
Our website host, database and email providers store information on servers in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, you are sending your information there.
Links to other sites
This website links to other organizations, including our league and partner clubs. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply once you leave our site.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Material changes affecting children's information will be notified to parents and guardians directly.

You can change whether this site uses analytics cookies at any time.
